Today marked the 365th day of B/Gen. Danilo
Augusto B. Francia's management of the Airport. People working in the
airport might not have noticed it - that a year has passed since he sits
in as General Manager of MCIAA. Time flies so fast indeed especially if
there are a lot of things done and done successfully. As we celebrate
this day, we count all the blessings and the accomplishment brought about
by the sincerity and commitment of this humble man which made us do our
best to serve you, our customers, better. First, on our list is: the successful
handling/launching of ASEAN Head of State aircrafts with its delegations.
This - GM Francia was able to lead with just OICs running most of MCIAA's
post. It was the first time ever in MCIAA's history that all airport stakeholders:
airlines, groundhandlers, ATO, PAF, Hotels and Restaurants, concessionaires,
rent-a-cars and others, were ever assembled and drawn together as one
big family with a cooperative spirit of going towards one goal - that
is: successful hosting of the ASEAN Summit. This spirit of oneness and
cooperativism has been sustained even after ASEAN Summit;
Next, is the tremedous increase of flights and passenger traffic. And
airlines are adding more flights. And more and more passengers are coming
through Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
While MCIAA is in high spirit right now, its men and women can't help
but thank God for bringing to them the man who, they truly feel, can bring
this airport to greater heights.
