The Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority in partnership with the Aviation Society of the Philippines is staging the first time-ever Static Display and Open House of General Aviation and Military Aircrafts at the South Ramp of the Airport (adjacent to the Military Ramp) on December 18-20, 2009. The said event aims to highlight the General Aviation aircraft and Air Force aircrafts here at the Airport.
The Aviation Society of the Philippines was formed last July 1, 2009 at the Air Force Aerospace Museum. On that same day, the first Aviation Summit was held where leaders of all sectors of aviation in the Philippines talked about the situation in their respective areas.
Some companies from Luzon as well as Air Force aircraft from all parts of the country are invited. The purpose of this static display and open house is in line with the objectives of the Aviation Society – bringing back awareness and support to aviation.
A mini-aviation summit among participants is anticipated with the objective of uniting everyone in aviation towards the same development purpose.
